THE BLANKET

The Blanket tells the desperate love story between a homeless man and his blanket, given
to him on a freezing night by Caritas. When someone steals it while he sleeps, he begins an
anguished search through the city streets, sinking into existential despair. The blanket is
not only a physical object of comfort but also a symbol of human warmth, hope, care, and
solidarity -a connection to a world that is often indiferent.Through its deep narrative and
rich descriptions, the film evokes empathy and reflection, inviting viewers to consider the
nuances of social exclusion and human dignity.

Lead Actor:
Fabrizio Ferracane, an Italian actor with a theatrical background, a leading figure in auteur
cinema and high-quality television series. He has worked with directors such as Giuseppe
Tornatore, Marco Bellocchio, Francesco Munzi, Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, and Emma
Dante, and has received numerous awards including Nastri d’Argento, David di Donatello,
and prizes at the Bari International Film Festival.
Writer–Director:
Anna Piscopo is an actress, screenwriter, and director trained at the National Academy of
Dramatic Arts “Silvio d’Amico.

” Winner of the Rai Carlo Bixio Award, she is the author and
performer of award-winning theatrical works such as Mangia! and Vai a rubare a San
Nicola!, and a director of independent cinema with a punk and neorealist poetic style,
blending theatre and auteur cinema with critical and public acclaim.
Executive Producer:
Gianluca Arcopinto is a film producer and distributor, one of the leading figures in Italian
independent cinema with over 150 films produced. Winner of the Golden Globe for Best
Producer, he has received numerous national awards and is also active as a teacher and
artistic director, combining film production with cultural research and institutional
engagement. Awarded by AGICI at the Rome Film Festival as Best Independent Producer
2025 for the film “Gioia Mia”
